INFORMAL RFQ for On Call Auxiliary Aids and Services 2023 - Braille - Pursuant to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the City of Oakland must fulfill its obligation to ensure effective communication for individuals with disabilities in all City programs, activities, and services. Therefore, the ADA Programs Division of the City Administrator’s Office seeks to establish a list of qualified providers of Communications Access Realtime Translation (CART)1, an auxiliary aid and services for persons who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard-of-hearing and are participating in City of Oakland (City) programs, activities, and services (excluding employee and applicant accommodations). From the list, the City will issue task orders for the provision of CART on an as-needed, customer-request basis. Note that this RFQ is not seeking responses from providers of sign language interpretation or other auxiliary aids and services. Additionally, services to be procured under this RFQ will not include reasonable accommodations required by City employees and applicants.
