The proposed work consists, in general, of construction of an accessible, mixeduse trail, closing a gap in the San Francisco Bay Trail between Lancaster Street and Fruitvale Avenue in Oakland, CA. Construction is on 400 Lancaster Street. City permissions to work on the land are included. No work in the tidal canal is anticipated. The work includes but is not limited to demolition of an existing concrete path, seat walls and fencing; construction of a new 10- foot-wide concrete path with integral concrete curb and galvanized steel guardrail; Bay Trail signage; security fencing and repairs to the existing landscape. Work also includes removal of three existing trees. City has paid for Building Department and Planning permit fees and has secured a Bay Conservation and Development (BCDC) Permit, City Creek, and Tree removal Permits. Contractor is responsible to apply for and pay all other trade permits, and to complete the City's Waste Reduction & Recycling Plan for the Building Permit.
