Project Description
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is planning to pursue a Public-Private-Partnership (P3) for the Southeast Treatment Plant’s (SEP) Biogas Utilization Project. The Biogas Utilization Project will include treatment of the biogas generated in the new digesters to renewable natural gas quality, injection into the nearby Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) natural gas pipeline, and sale as a renewable fuel eligible for environmental credit programs. The Biogas Utilization Project will provide 100% beneficial use of the biogas generated by the Biosolids Digester Facilities Project (BDFP).
