The County of Humboldt currently has $272,116 allocated from state PLHA funds, which must be encumbered by April 2024. These funds must be used for the purpose of multifamily housing, which PLHA defines as the predevelopment, development, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of multifamily, residential live-work, rental housing that is affordable to Extremely low-,Very low-, Low-, or Moderate-income households, including necessary operating subsidies. Work must take place in the unincorporated areas of the county.
