Notice Inviting Bids

1. Bid Acceptance and Opening. The City of Tracy (“City”), will accept sealed bids for its SEWER CONNECTION AT LINCOLN BLVD. AND ELEVENTH ST. PROJECT(“Project”), CIP 74162, by or before Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the City Clerk’s Office, 2 nd Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, 95376. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.

2. Location and Description. The Project is located at the intersection of Lincoln Blvd. and Eleventh Street, primarily from the center of the intersection through the westbound lanes of Eleventh Street. Work includes: Furnishing and Installing a new 8 inch sewer main between two existing manholes, trenching, excavation & shoring, traffic control, and pavement restoration. Work is anticipated to be completed at night to minimize traffic impacts.

3. Time for Completion The planned timeframe for work is between September 15, 2023 and October 31, 2023. Contract time to be thirty (30) contract days.

4. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor’s license for the following classification(s): Class A, General Engineering Contractor’s License or Class C-34, Pipeline Contractor.

5. DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with Bid Proposal.

6. Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

7. Prevailing Wage Requirements. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer’s office or online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR , applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed.

8. Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price.

9. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300.

10. Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

11. Engineer’s Estimate. The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $147,000.

12. No Pre-bid meeting will be held.
