NOTICE INVITING BIDS
PLAYGROUND WOOD FIBER AND MULCH INSTALLATION

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF TRACY (hereinafter "CITY") requests bids for Playground Wood Fiber and Mulch Installation (hereinafter “Project”) and will receive bids in the office of the Parks and Recreation Department, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, CA, 95376, ATTN: Nilo Velazquez, Management Analyst, up to the hour of 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

2. The services to be performed by the successful bidder are described in the bid. Copies of the bid are available at the Parks and Recreation Department and online at www.cityoftracy.org/government/rfp-notices . Any questions should be directed to Nilo Velazquez, Management Analyst, via email nilo.velazquez@cityoftracy.org no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023. Project shall include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to furnish and install American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) engineered wood playground fiber at designated play areas and walk-on bark at designated planting areas.

3. Bids shall be submitted and clearly marked on the outside of a sealed envelope as follows “BID FOR PLAYGROUND WOOD FIBER AND MULCH INSTALLATION – DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL.”

4. The CITY will award the agreement to the lowest responsible bidder. The CITY may award an agreement to the next lowest responsible bidder if the successful bidder refuses or fails to execute the agreement. The CITY also reserves the right to reduce the scope of work for the Playground Wood Fiber and Mulch Installation at any time.

5. The CITY reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities in any bid or the bid process.
