Notice Inviting Bids

1. Bid Acceptance and Opening. The City of Tracy (“City”) will accept sealed bids for its CIP 72095 Traffic Signal Installation and Roadway Widening at Corral Hollow Road and Valpico Road Intersection Project (“Project”), by or before Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the City Clerk’s Office, 2 ^nd Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, 95376. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.

2. Location and Description. The Project is located at Corral Hollow Road and Valpico Road intersection. The work includes the roadway widening and traffic signal installation at the intersection of Corral Hollow Road and Valpico Road, along with roadway paving, and installation of utilities, sidewalk, curb ramps, signage and striping.

3. Time for Completion. Contract time to be One-hundred and twenty (120) calendar days.

4. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor’s license for the following classification(s): Class A, General Engineering Contractor’s License.

5. DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with Bid Proposal.

6. Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

7. Prevailing Wage Requirements. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer’s office or online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR , applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed.

8. Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price.

9. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300.

10. Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
