San Juan Soil Removal

IFB # 2305-MAas

The Sacramento Housing Redevelopment Agency is soliciting sealed bids for Invitation for Bid 2305-MAas to Implement a Soil Removal Action Plan for lead impacted soils at subject site. The general project objectives are soil excavation, stockpiling of excavated soils, chemical profiling of stockpiled soils, off-site disposal at a licensed disposal facility, and backfilling to original grades. Possible subcontracting trades are: C-12 Earthwork & Paving; C-31 Construction Zone Traffic Control and Lead Abatement; LEAD. The estimated bonding range is $800,000-$950,000.

Interested licensed A – General Engineering Contractors are required to attend at least ONE of the Pre-Bid Conferences.

  • The Second Pre-Bid Conference to be held: Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm at SHRA Commission Room – 2nd Floor, 801 12th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

All contractors and potential subcontractors are required to attend at least ONE of the Pre-Bid Conferences. A site inspection will be held following each Pre-Bid Conference. Contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of the existing site conditions.

Bids will be received via OpenGov ONLY until 10:00 am on Friday, March 10, 2023 at which time and place all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at 801 12th Street, Sacramento, 95814.

This contract is subject to State and/or Federal labor standards., Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Standards, Federal labor standards, Section 3 Requirements of the HUD Act of 1968.

For bids in excess of $25,000, bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a security in the amount of the performance retention.

This is a Public Works project. Per California State Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Notwithstanding any other requirements (including federal labor requirements), this contract is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
