The County of Lake is inviting sealed proposals from qualified respondents for a new internet protocol (IP) security camera system.
Current status: Over time, the County has acquired a variety of different camera systems installed at various facilities. These systems are comprised of disparate hardware and software and are unable to be managed in a centralized manner.
Desired outcome: The County of Lake wishes to standardize on an IP security camera system that can be deployed in a flexible and customizable manner throughout County facilities. The system will need to meet the requirements of government code, including having sufficient storage to maintain a full year’s worth of video for each camera.
The system must be compatible with the County network and able to function harmoniously across various wide area network (WAN) links throughout the county that connect departmental sites to the rest of the County network. Typically, WAN links operate at a minimum of 10Mbps.
