The ProjectManagementContractor (IndependentContractor) shallassist inand beresponsible fortheoversight,administration, safety culture,andmanagement of projects.ThisScope of Servicesoutlines theresponsibilities,activities,anddeliverablesthat will be assigned to this PMContractor.At aminimum, thePMContractor shall be capable ofproviding one or more ProjectManagers and one or moreProjectControlspersons forthe duration ofthe Contract,withadditionalstaff asrequired. For most ProjectManagementServicestasks,the projectmanagerandotherassignedstaff shallwork out oftheir company’s office, although temporary office space at SMUD facilities may be available on a case-by-case basis as needed.All assigned Project Managers must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related study with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in the management, leadership, and performance of large and complex design and construction power generation projects, in the areas of Hydro, Gas, Thermal, and Renewables. Licensed Professional Engineering (PE, California Registration is preferred) and Project Manager Certification (i.e. PMI (Project Management Institute), CMAA (Construction Management Association of America), or equivalent) are preferable, but not required. Project Managers shall demonstrate depth of experience in design, construction, project controls, contract management, and stakeholder relationship management. In addition, it may also be desirable for the Project Manager on specific projects to have engineering expertise in a particular discipline such as electrical, mechanical, civil, or instrument & controls, along with power generation experience.
