chemical testing on compounded pharmaceuticals from both licensed and unlicensed sterile compounding facilities that ship products within the State of California as described herein. The Board is looking to contract these services to ensure that products being shipped to California meet United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Guidelines in terms of sterility, potency, endotoxins, elemental impurities, residual solvents, visible particulates in injectables, and antimicrobial effectiveness. Test results will be used in investigations the Board uses in both administrative and enforcement hearings.
