To support the CHP Camera Project, we are implementing communication systems for a traffic signal camera. This initiative was launched in response to a tragic incident, the shooting death of a child in Orange County on SR-55 @ Katella. HQ Operations has supplied camera for deployment across the state, and our specific contribution will be along PCH on a construction project. The modems will facilitate communication between the cameras at intersections and the Traffic Management Center (TMC). The feeds from these cameras will be utilized by the CHP for law enforcement purposes as part of this statewide effort. Hundreds of cameras were purchased by HQ Operations for this cooperative effort between the CHP and Caltrans.
