The State of California (State) Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is releasing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information from the vendor community. The State is not requesting a solution; rather the intent of the RFI is to identify potential vendors who can partner with DOR to provide specialized, adaptive vehicle modification services and equipment, supporting the consumers vocation goals towards competitive employment and independence.
Mobility Evaluation Program¿s (MEP) specialized services provide a comprehensive clinical and behind-the-wheel driver or passenger evaluation that assesses the consumer's driving potential and prescribes adaptive driving equipment, allowing the consumers to be a safe and independent driver or ride safely as a passenger.
