The Project to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation required to complete the Project, with a scope of work to generally include, but is not limited to, the following: drilling several concrete piers into competent material, placement of concrete and other structural fill, anchored in place by new piers, restoration of the path and roadway, and relocation of existing riprap at the toe of slope of the new infill wall.

The Purpose of the West Cliff Stabilization Project is to restore specific portions of West Cliff Drive which were impacted during the January 2023 storms.

Please note that due to the emergency nature of this project, the Plans and Specifications posted on 6/23/23 are not complete, and an addendum will be issued which will include updates to the Plans, Specifications, and Basis of Bid information. Contractors shall email the Project Manager, Josh Spangrud ( jspangrud@santacruzca.gov ) and request to be added to an email list to receive email alerts when any addenda, reports or other information are made available.

Bid Delivery Instructions:

All proposals must be submitted to the Public Works Department by 2:00 p.m. July 17, 2023 in a sealed envelope plainly endorsed with the Project Name and Number. Late bids will not be considered. Sealed bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the bid due date and time at the Public Works Department at:
