The City of Indio would like to support the local business community and further sustainability efforts through a commercial zero waste program. The City is seeking a qualified consultant to support commercial facilities that volunteer to become zero waste certified through the TRUE zero waste certification. Zero waste increases efficiency and may lead to cost savings.  In addition, it provides an opportunity for businesses to engage with employees and maintain regulatory compliance.  The TRUE zero waste certification requires waste audits, record keeping and other staff intensive work.  The Consultant will provide guidance and support to minimize business staff time to achieve certification while fostering commitment from the business to reach and maintain a zero waste facility.
