Information: The City of Hesperia’s Planning Division (City) is seeking qualified professional firms (Consultant) to submit a proposal to provide on-call landscape and irrigation plan check services. Under general direction, the consultant will serve as a consulting City Landscape Architect to provide professional landscape design review services and will provide the range of expertise needed to assist with the landscape design review and approval process for projects processed through the Planning Department.
Currently, landscape plans are submitted to the Building and Safety Division for all new developments including commercial, industrial, other non-residential developments, single-family and multi-family projects. The Planning Division is responsible for reviewing landscaping plans during the plan check process to ensure compliance with the Development Code, applicable Specific Plan regulations, conditions of approval, and the City’s approved Plant List. Furthermore, the Planning Division is responsible or ensuring landscaping associated with developments is designed to be compatible with the aesthetics of the surrounding environment and conform with State mandates.
