The City of Dublin invites qualifications from firms with expertise in public art consultation, conservation, and maintenance. Firms with expertise will assist City staff with consultation, conservation, and maintenance of the City of Dublin’s permanent public art collection.
The City of Dublin, incorporated in 1982, is one of the fastest growing communities in California. Dublin is located in the Tri-Valley region, about 30 miles east of San Francisco, and is bordered by the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore and San Ramon. Dublin has a robust public art program, with a growing municipal collection of 35+ artworks, mostly outdoor sculptures, murals, and tile works acquired in the last 20 years. (Attachment 1)
All pieces in the collection have been evaluated within the past five years, and conservation and maintenance are considered current.
Dublin intends to select a firm, or firms, to serve as on-call conservator(s) for a two-year period, July 1, 2023-June 30, 2025. Work will include scheduled maintenance, but it may also include consultations and emergency repairs.
Selected firms will work on a task order basis. City staff requests a quote prior to service and provides an approved task order prior to work being scheduled. Vendors bill the City monthly for any services provided.
Contracts are expected to have a not-to-exceed price of $45,000 over a two-year period.
