Description:

The City of Coronado is seeking a firm or consultant to perform the following tasks. If a prospective firm or consultant determines additional tasks are warranted for the services, the additional tasks must be clearly identified in the proposal. Firm or consultant will be expected to gain an understanding of the City’s existing classification and compensation structure, current practices, and guiding principles. Additionally, they will review all background materials including, but not limited to, Personnel Authorization and Compensation Plan (PACP), Coronado’s Civil Service Rules, organizational charts, classification specifications, etc. Consultant to schedule an initial meeting with Human Resources staff and related personnel to discuss the process and tasks to be performed.

Qualifications:
The City is seeking a Human Resources firm or consultant that has the professional qualifications and demonstrated experience for successfully performing the various types of classification and compensation study services described in the Scope of Services section.
The firm must also be able to provide and maintain policies of professional liability (errors and omissions), automobile liability, and general liability insurance from an insurance company authorized to do business in the State of California in an insurable amount of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for each occurrence. For professional liability insurance, the policy shall be on a claims made and in the aggregate basis. The City shall be named as an additional insured on the required general liability and automobile liability policies (refer to insurance requirements included in Attachment D).
