Description:
The City of Corning (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified professional consultants to prepare the City of Corning’s 2024-2029 (7th Cycle) Housing Element. The proposed project will result in the preparation and adoption of a complete 7th Cycle Housing Element document, including the State required Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) analysis, and shall include certification by the State of California Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) for the 2024-2029 Housing Element planning period. With the City’s input, the selected consultant will prepare a document that addresses the varied housing needs of the community, incorporates necessary and required legislative and case law based housing requirements, incorporates and includes the City’s Regional Housing Needs Accommodation (RHNA) figures, incorporates the State-mandated Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) information and data, and, shall incorporate any and all other certification requirements required by the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) within the legally mandated timeframes.
