NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:ARCATA CORPORATION YARD BUILDINGS SIDINGS REPLACEMENT PROJECT
The City of Arcata (City) is soliciting bids for the Arcata Corporation Yard Buildings Siding Replacement Project. The Project includes removal, replacement, wood blocking, “Z” flashing, and painting of approximately 4,300 square feet of primed T-111 siding and trim, where applicable, on buildings located at the City’s Corporation Yard, 600 South G Street in Arcata, California.
The Work consists of removal and disposal of worn or damaged siding on approximately ten (10) buildings, installing replacement sidings, trim, wood blocking, “Z” flashing, and painting the new siding. The new, primed T-111 siding, trim, wood blocking, “Z” flashing, and paint to be provided by the City.
A mandatory pre-bid walk through of the job site, 600 South G Street, Arcata, CA will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Prospective bidders must arrive on time and sign-in to be eligible to bid on the project.
Projected duration of this project is July 1, 2023 through September 15, 2023.
Sealed bids will be received at the City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California until 11 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Bids must be submitted within a sealed envelope with the bidder’s name and address and labeled: “Arcata Corporation Yard Buildings Siding Replacement Project.” All responses must be made on the Bid Proposal and Schedule provided in Attachment B to be considered for award. The Informal Request for Bids Package for this Work can be obtained on the City’s website, www.cityofarcata.org under “Bid.”
Contractors must possess, at minimum, a Class B General Building Contractor’s License to bid, possess a valid Business License from the City of Arcata prior to commencing work, and demonstrate the necessary qualifications to complete the work described in the Scope of Work in Attachment A. The selected contractor will enter into a construction contract (Attachment C Sample Construction Contract) prior to commencing work.
The City of Arcata has determined that prevailing wages apply to this Project. The selected contractor must register with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to award of a contract.
