The City of Arcata is soliciting quotes for the purchase of approximately 600 MBF of FSC Certified timber: 475 MBF of redwood; 110 MBF Douglas fir; and 15 MBF of grand fir. Sealed bids will be received at the Arcata City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California, until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 8 , Friday, May 12, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read:

The successful purchaser shall:

1. Purchase 475 MBF of redwood timber; and/or 110 MBF of Douglas fir; and/or 15 MBF of grand fir, harvested from a stand of timber 50-70 years old, from the Arcata Community Forest, Jacoby Creek Tract from NTMP 1-99-033HUM, to be delivered to Purchaser’s yard or similar designated location.
2. Pay State Timber Yield Taxes.

Each sealed envelope containing a bid (quote) must be plainly marked on the outside as “TIMBER SALE BID 2023.” The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The award may be made at the regularly scheduled Arcata City Council Meeting on May 17 , June 7, 2023.
