The City is seeking statements of qualifications and proposals (SOQ/P) from qualified providers to provide engineering design, landscape architecture, and construction management services for the Arcata Ball Park Improvement Project. This improvement project seeks to create ADA-accessibility to the family-friendly left field grassy seating area and improve the entry plaza and façade to ensure public safety and enhance the identity of the Arcata Ball Park.

The City intends to enter a professional services agreement with a qualified consulting firm to complete Final Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) and related services – including but not limited to: civil and structural design, landscape and architectural design, surveying, minor geotechnical investigation, minor electrical engineering and lighting design, and ADA access design. The Final Plans & Specifications will be used to put the project out to bid for construction. Through this RFQ/P, the City reserves the option to enter into an agreement for Construction Management (CM) services at a later time; interested firms should address their CM qualifications in their response as well.

The project is being funded in part by a State budget allocation being administered by the Department of Parks and Recreation. Project activities must adhere to State funding requirements.

Statements of Qualifications/Proposals for this work will be received at the City Manager's Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California, until 3:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023. The submissions received in response to this RFQ/P will be evaluated and used as a basis for selecting the consultant for this project.
