Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD awarded a sole source cost plus fixed fee modification under contract N00019-21-C-0060 SES III with Northrop Grumman Systems Corp, San Diego, CA.



The modification was awarded in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition,

title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, which states that only one

responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Per Federal Acquisition Requlation 16.301-2, a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract was utilized due to the

uncertainties involved in contract performance and costs not being able to be predicted with sufficient accuracy to

use any type of Fixed-Price contract.
