HDD/SSD Shredder At-Site Preventive Maintenance

. Grease all fittings, Clear cutting head of debris, adjust tension of deflectors, lubricate cutting

head, verify safety limit switches are working properly, verify gear oil in bath pan and reduction

box are at proper levels.

. Clear rails of any debris and adjust as necessary, Check tension on conveyor belt and belt

condition, Check chain that drives belt and lubricate.

. Check blast gate for proper air flow, Check HEPA and pre-filters and note condition, evaluate

fan to ensure proper rotation.

Program

. Remove old knives, sharpen spare knives, install sharpened knives, calibrate installed knives to

application for optimal performance, Grease rotor bearings, inspect hopper for easy opening and

closing to cutting chamber, inspect rotor for excessive wear, inspect screen for proper fit and

wear, inspect drive belt for wear, adjust drive belt tension to factory specifications for maximum

efficiency, Check sheave bolt tension and set to factory specifications.

. Inspect fan for proper operation, inspect evacuation system for leaks, Lubricate and grease air

system as required, adjust flow controls as needed, inspect filter, shake filter, and empty debris

if required.

. Inspect all safety switches ensuring they function properly, inspect all starters ensuring proper

operation.

. Complete evaluation report with recommendations. Run system check on overall machine

inspect shred samples to ensure shredded waste meets specifications, check all functions of
