The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) single source award to Asphalt Zipper, Inc. to procure an Asphalt Zipper. The Asphalt Zipper meets the requirement for a proven compact, portable, efficient reclaiming/trenching equipment that can perform rapid road pavement repair tasks to support maintenance operations conducted

by the Aviation Ground Support Detachment (AGS Det.), MCAGCC/MAGTFTC, Twentynine Palms, CA 92278. The Asphalt Zipper rapidly pulverize road surfaces in poor condition and simultaneously mixes the processed material with stabilizing agents and/or

existing road base material while milling and tilling a section of road 42 inches wide and up to 10 inches deep. These processes are essential for the remote location with the required size constraints. The equipment meets the need for a minimal footprint in terms

of size, amount of equipment, and interoperability with Marine Corps equipment. Trainingon safe use and maintenance will be provided within this contract. This equipment meets and exceed the acceptable salient characteristics set forth in this document for this contract.

This document meets the regulatory requirements of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued.
