Description

Cobalt iron is a metal alloy that is well suited for use in magnetic applications. This acquisition is for cobalt iron blanks that will comprise the pole bodies of the Sextupole magnets within the Advanced Light Source (ALS) Storage Ring (SR), which are being replaced as part of the Advance Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U) project.
