The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, awarded a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), 17066 Goldentop Road, San Diego, CA 92127-2412 under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-20-G-0005, to perform upgrading the software/firmware configuration of the Vehicle Management Computers (VMC) and Engine Interface Units (EIU) to the Increment 12.2.0 configuration. This order was awarded to NGSC in the amount of $642,827 inclusive of all options.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 19-0048 – redacted version attached to this announcement.
