Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Office of the Assistant Administrator (OAA), Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Alpena, MI, has a requirement for a Multi-Purpose Winch, Series 388-3ELW. The milti-purpose winch has to operate a side scan sonar system onboard a research vessel at Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary (WSCNMS) to document and monitor known sanctuary resources, and to systematically locate currently undiscovered resources, the sanctuary has purchased a side scan sonar system. A shipboard multi-purpose winch is required to utilize this system. The multi-purpose winch will be used with a side scan sonar system by WSCNMS and other Great Lakes national marine sanctuaries.
