Propane Services

This Request for Proposal (RFP) announces the intent of the County of Mendocino to
solicit proposals for the purchase of propane.

The purpose of the RFP is to purchase propane to be delivered to various County Departments
throughout the County of Mendocino.

Flat Rate differential over the Butane Propane News (BPN), San Francisco locations:
$ /Per Gallon (Differential/Plus or Minus).
For bidding purposes, the prior twelve (12) months usage was approximately 8000. The County makes
no guarantee as to the total amount to be purchased during the awarded period.

Pricing: The Commercial Price Schedule to be used is “BPN-Weekly Propane News” and shall be used as
the “benchmark” during the duration of the awarded period. Prices paid under any contract resulting
from this bid will be based on the “BPN-Weekly Propane Newsletter” obtained at the web site:
www.bpnews.com/newsletter.php (sample attached). When invoicing the County, the vendor is required
to utilize this web

Vendors must submit four (_4_) copies of their proposal: Four (_4_) complete paper copies with
original Vendor signature, and one (_1_) complete copy on USB Flash Drive. The proposal must be
formatted in accordance with the instructions of this RFP. Promotional materials may be attached,
but are not necessary and will not be considered as meeting any of the requirements of this RFP.
Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope or package, clearly marked “Mendocino County RFP
No. 066-22”, and delivered by 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 to:

Late or facsimile proposals will not be accepted. It is the proposer’s responsibility to
assure that its proposal is delivered and received at the location
e the date and hour set. Proposals received after the
