Fire Protection Services

RFP # 2266-MAkp

The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), on behalf of the Housing Authority of the City and the Housing Authority of the County of Sacramento, is soliciting for an experienced, qualified Contractor who holds a C-10 and a C-16 license to provide fire protection services for its public housing properties. These services include, but are not limited to, fire/life safety equipment inspection, backflow, testing, monitoring and maintenance. No subcontracting shall be allowed on this project.

The Pre-Proposal meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at 801 12 th Street, 2 nd Floor Commission Room, Sacramento, CA 95814.

All Proposals must be received no later than 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 via OpenGov ONLY. Proposals will not be accepted by any other means other than electronically through PlanetBids.

This contract is subject to State labor standards, California Labor Code including but not limited to Sections 1771, 1774, 1775, 1776, 1777.5, 1813 and 1815, compliance monitoring and enforcement by SHRA and the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), affirmative action requirements.

This is a Public Works project. Per California State Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Notwithstanding any other requirements (including federal labor requirements), this contract is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
