The Housing Authority of the County of Sacramento is soliciting sealed bids for Invitation for Bid 2314-MAkp for New construction of Early Childhood Education Center building located at 475 Pipevine Street, Sacramento, CA 95811. Possible subcontracting trades are Electrical Contractor; C-10, Fencing Contractor; C-13, Fire Protection Contractor; C-16, Flooring & Floor Covering; C-15, Framing & Rough Carpentry; C-5, General Building Contractor; B, Glazing Contractor; C-17, Hardware, Locks & Safes; C-61/D-16, Insulation & Acoustical; C-2, Landscaping Contractor; C-27, Lathing & Plastering; C-35, Low Voltage Systems; C-7, Machinery & Pumps; C-61/D-21, Metal Products; C-61/D-24, Painting & Decorating; C-33, Plumbing Contractor; C-36, Roofing Contractor; C-39, Siding & Decking; C-61/D-41, Suspended Ceilings; C-61/D-50, Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation & AC; C-20, Window Coverings; C-61/D-52. The estimated bonding range is $2,100,000 to $2,400,000.

  • The Second Pre-Bid Conference to be held: Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 2:00 at SHRA Commision Room – 2nd Floor, 801 12th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

All contractors and potential subcontractors are required to attend at least ONE of the Pre-Bid Conferences. A site inspection will be held following each Pre-Bid Conference. Contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of the existing site conditions.

Bids will be received via OpenGov ONLY until 2:00 pm on Monday, April 24, 2023, at which time and place all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

This contract is subject to State and/or Federal labor standards.

For bids in excess of $25,000, bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a security in the amount of the performance retention.

This is a Public Works project. Per California State Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
