Contractor agrees to provide all labor, tools, equipment and materials, supplies, travel, and any incidentals necessary to provide uniform and specialty Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) clothing rental, laundry, and embroidery services to the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), as described in Proposed Form of Agreement (Attachment 10).

Caltrans employs personnel involved in repairing, servicing, and equipping mobile fleet equipment. These personnel are required to wear PPE/clothing for their safety and protection. This Agreement will provide uniform clothing items worn as PPE/clothing and specialty item rental services for Caltrans employees, to maintain compliance with Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, also known as the Cal-OSHA Regulations, Section 3380, Personal Protective Devices of the General Industry Safety Orders (GISO), Section 1514 of the Construction Safety Orders (CSO), and Chapter 12 of the Caltrans Safety Manual. These regulations require employers to provide PPE/clothing for their employees so employees can perform their assigned duties safely.

These services shall be performed at the 150 locations listed in Attachment A (Pick Up and Delivery Locations) of the Proposed Form of Agreement (Attachment 10). Caltrans reserves the right to change the 150 locations listed in Attachment A (Pick Up and Delivery Locations) of the Proposed Form of Agreement (Attachment 10). Changes to locations shall be solely at the discretion of Caltrans Contract Manager and will be communicated in writing to Contractor.
