The County of Placer is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Document Preparation services for the Flick Point II Water Quality and Ecosystem Improvement Project, a multi-benefit project in the Carnelian Bay area of North Lake Tahoe, in the vicinity of Flick Point. The project improvements will consist of a paved shared-use trail segment, water quality improvements in the adjacent residential neighborhood, and Stream Environment Zone (SEZ) restoration work. See map in Attachment B for reference.

This RFP will result in the award of a contract to a single firm for this preliminary work. However, the County reserves the option to contract with the selected firm for future related tasks for this project, up to and including Final Design and Preparation of Plans and Specifications, and Bid and Construction Assistance. Therefore, the County will select the firm who is most qualified to perform all applicable engineering design and project support services for this project.

A proposer’s conference has been scheduled for March 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Interested firms will have an opportunity to submit questions regarding the requirements outlined in this RFP. Attendance is optional. Substantial clarifications or changes required as a result of the meeting will be issued in the form of a written addendum to the RFP.
