Napa County Library is seeking Proposals for a Contractor with experience designing and delivering curricula for English as a Second Language Students (ESL). The English Language Skills workshops will expand educational opportunities for adults who lack basic skills to fully participate in education, work and civic opportunities. The Contractor will teach life skill content, and students will practice speaking, reading, writing and listening skills in English to develop language fluency. One of Napa County’s Strategic goals is a Collaborative, Connected, and Engaged Community; By engaging the public with County programs and resources to promote a stronger sense of community and sustaining existing programs that improve quality of life and develop programs where gaps currently exist. One of the gaps is the need to provide workshops for immigrant adults to adapt and thrive in the United States.
