Summary Scope of Work: The City of Santa Cruz Water Department is soliciting bids for liquid aluminum sulfate (alum) to use for water treatment.

Delivered pricing for the following product must be provided in price per dry ton: Liquid aluminum sulfate (alum), not less than 7.8 percent as Al₂O₃.

Estimated Dollar Value: The City of Santa Cruz spends an estimated $65,000 in every six-month period on Liquid Alum. The City may spend more or less than this amount during the six-month contract period.

Estimated Quantity: The quantities indicated in this solicitation are approximate semiannual quantities based on past experience and expected future need. Quantities may be increased or decreased depending on actual need during the contract term; however, no price adjustments will be allowed as a result of a reduction in the quantity purchased.

Due Date: Sealed bids are due no later than 4:00pm PST, December 29, 2022. All bids will be delivered to the Graham Hill Water Treatment Plant, 715 Graham Hill Rd, Santa Cruz, California, 95060 before the due date. Late bids will not be accepted.
