Project Description: The City of Santa Cruz is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for an architect to: 1) prepare design development drawings necessary to obtain an Historical Alteration Permit and a Minor Modification to zoning permit 04-261; 2) prepare construction drawings and specifications necessary to obtain a building permit for the Tannery Dance and Performance Building; and 3) prepare bid documents for City to use in in a Project Bid Package as part of a public solicitation for competitive bids for the Project. The Project will be located at the Tannery Arts Center, at the site of the former historic Salz Tannery in Santa Cruz, CA. The building will be steel-framed single story with approximately 5,800 sq.ft. of space. The interior of the building will consist of two dance studios, restrooms, an office, and an entrance lobby.

All proposals must be received at the Economic Development Department located at 337 Locust Street Santa Cruz, CA in sealed envelopes plainly endorsed: Tannery Dance and Performance Building Architectural Services Submitted by:____________.

Proposals must consist of one printed hard copy and one digital copy that includes all information in the format outlined in this RFP. The digital copy must be saved as a searchable PDF document on a USB drive. Proposals not confirming with this requirement may be determined to be non-responsive.
