The City is seeking proposals from qualified design firms to provide EV charging station design and construction services for five (5) locations allowing for publicly accessible Level 2 EV charging. Each station must meet the American Disability Act (ADA) requirements, all applicable California building code requirements, and all applicable City design and construction requirements. The final product should include design and construction documents including installation layout, electrical plans, signage, and pavement markings. As each station will require a new electric service from the City’s Electric Department, the proposers must incorporation the necessary utility substructure work into the final design and construction documents. Design for the necessary utility substructures will be provided by the City.
The proposer must demonstrate through knowledge and experience in the design and preparation of specifications for electric vehicle charging stations installation. Demonstrated experience would include recent projects for the design of public EV charging stations and ability to provide field inspection and construction services throughout the construction phases.
