The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure Engineering Changes for the LAU-127 guided missile launchers and BRU-32 bomb racks to satisfy the U.S. Navy (USN) F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft production requirements. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), the supplies and services for the anticipated contract actions have been deemed to be available only from the original source as award to another source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency’s requirements. Marvin Engineering Company Inc. (MEC) is the only qualified manufacturer with an active production line to perform these efforts and meet the USN requirements. Furthermore, MEC is the only qualified manufacturer possessing the required technical knowledge and facilities, including machining, forgings, molds, tooling, and special test equipment capable of performing the functions required to meet the current and emergent Fleet needs.
