TSGB Golden Bear Ballast Water Treatment System with SOW Sources Sought Notice 11/18/2022

The Maritime Administration, Division of Atlantic Operations, is issuing this Sources Sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the resources to support, a requirement for the procurement of the Training Ship Golden Bear Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) Commissioning located at Golden Bear DPO, 200 Maritime Academy Drive, Vallejo, CA 94590-8181. Abstract/Description: This requirement describes the FY22 commissioning and certification of the Erma First FIT 300 Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) for USCG inspection, ABS survey, and training of ship’s crew. The contractor will provide the labor and materials to commission the BWTS. Two (2) service engineers (S/E) will be provided for three (3) days after completion of the BWTS installation. Certification must be done before December 31, 2022.





The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 221310 - Water Supply and Irrigation Systems.

THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals/quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

If your organization has the potential capacity to provide this service, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the specifics of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability: and 3) a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating that your company is appointed and authorized as a OEM dealer for parts and service of Erma First equipment.





The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide the products in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated.

BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION OR CONTRACTED ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.
