Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 in conjunction with FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

Project Title: Nutrition carts for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System.

Description: VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is seeking to purchase two (2) 12 tray capacity and two (2) 10 tray capacity Meal Delivery carts or equivalent for their facilities in the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System.

Project Location: VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357.

Solicitation Type - Number: Request for Quotes (RFQ) - 36C26223Q0399.

Set Aside: This solicitation is issued as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set aside.

Applicable NAICS code: 333415, Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing.

Small Business Size Standard: 1,250 Employees

Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price

Period of Performance: 90 days Delivery Date from award date.
Delivery shall be Freight on Board (FOB) - Destination

GENERAL SCOPE

The Veteran s Integrated Service Network 22 is seeking a contractor to provide the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System a with two (2) 12 tray capacity and two (2) 10 tray capacity Meal delivery carts or equivalent. This procurement is solely to procure the materials/hardware purchase. Required items are the four (4) Dinex Meal delivery carts or equivalent possessing the salient characteristics listed below.

1. Salient Characteristics: Dinex Meal Delivery Carts or equivalent

Dinex Model No. DXPTQC2T1D12 or equivalent.
Meal delivery carts must have a 12-tray capacity, fitting meal trays that measure 15 x20 in size.
Casters must be capable of withstanding high temperatures and be wash-resistant or sealed to
withstand pressure and water temperatures of a cart washing system.
Must have doors that will lock in place in both the open and closed position.
Carts must have at least 2 swivel casters for easier maneuverability and locking brakes.
Caster must have noise suppression bearing covers.
Overall maximum height is 48 inches.
One tray per-slide.
Must have a floor drain in the cart
Must have bumpers around the bottom of the cart.
Must be NSF Certified
Delivery cart must be all stainless-steel modular construction

3. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Vendor shall take necessary precautions to avoid damaging property during transport. The
Vendor shall be responsible for all costs associated with damages.
Contractor shall repair or coordinate with the POC for replacement of damaged, defective, or
missing items.

4. WARRANTY

Vendor shall provide standard warranty on all items.

The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-01, dated December 1, 2022. The following provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and can be found in enclosure 2.
