Description

This build must be done by a qualified and competent shop that specifically services first responder vehicles in lighting and communications as their main business operation. They also must be able to service and upfit emergency/first responder vehicles as well out of the same shop. The place where work is to be done must not be a residence and must have a valid local municipality business license.

The business must have an active DUNS or UEI number and must have multiple current Law Enforcement contracts either with a combination of local, state, or Federal Law Enforcement and/or Fire. Staff also needs to be Emergency Vehicle Technician Certified. The business needs to be Whalen Core Certified Installers and an authorized reseller of Whelen.

The lights, sirens, and radio build may follow or precede another build that will also be modifying the jeep. That build is the off-road and suspension build. Some items with the lights and sirens build might have to be installed before or after and may require multiple trips to complete. An example of this would be lights in the front bumper guard or other parts of the body. This is a very fluid build and most items can be substituted or rearranged, whatever it takes to complete the build. See Attachment 01 (Statement of Work) for details.
