Description

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a request for proposal.

This is a presolicitation notice regarding the upcoming WATMAN Streamflow Measurement and Weather Station Maintenance SATOC (Single Award Task Order) IDIQ.

This contract is for the performance of discharge measurements, ratingcurve development, general maintenance and repair, and quality-controlled record work-up for streamflow and weather stations located throughout CA and contained within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USAGE) Sacramento District (SPK). Streamflow stations are in the northern and southern central valley and the foothills and mountains of the Sierra Nevada and northern Coastal Ranges. Discharge measurements need to be taken from a variety of cross-sections, including, bridges, cableways, or wading-based approaches and may be required during periods of high flow. Stream stage measurements are made using a range of automated sensors and station set-ups. General maintenance, repairs, and upkeep is required for both streamflow and weather stations. Weather stations are located throughout the northern and southern central valley, as well as the Sierra Nevada and northern Coastal Ranges, including high-elevation remote locations only accessible via helicopter or pack animal travel. The weather stations range in complexity with regards to meteorological observations. Weather stations in mountainous locations and foothills record air temperature, precipitation, and/or snow depth and snow water equivalent. Weather stations located at USAGE-owned reservoirs measure air temperature, barometric pressure, incoming/outgoing radiation, precipitation, relative humidity, and wind-speed and wind-direction.
